Built in 1959 by industrialist Norberto Goizueta as part of the Hacienda Guadalmina estate, the hotel featured the Costa del Sol’s first beachfront 9- hole golf course and charming bungalows directly on the shore and evolved into a premier resort serving affluent holidaymakers and business events, leveraging its beachfront access and golf amenities.
 
Its acquisition by Blackstone’s Hotel Investment Partners, allowed our executive team to advice them on their overall positioning, story telling and narrative, as well as bringing their F&B offering up-to-date to capture the affluent local clientele. 
Hotel Guadalmina’s evolution – from its 1959 origin as a pioneering beach-golf resort to today’s Luxury Collection identity – tells a compelling story of heritage, strategic reinvestment, and operational excellence. Anchored in location, ambience, and performance metrics (178 rooms, spa and sports offerings), it will be positioned to lead Marbella’s Coastal luxury segment under Marriott’s Luxury Collection elite brand.
