Convenience without compromise

Co-op’s strong ethos and values are worth celebrating, yet their community, charity and sustainability initiatives were not fully resonating in store. The opportunity was to create a £3 million flagship in Lichfield, Staffordshire that would set a bold new design direction while bringing those values to life in a tangible way.

The resulting store template has since been rolled out to multiple locations. It introduces zero waste refill stations, eco friendly refrigeration with a 60 per cent lower carbon footprint, bespoke artwork celebrating local landmarks and dedicated charity and community displays. Together, these elements transform everyday convenience shopping into an experience that clearly reflects Co-op’s principles.
