Block House at The Sheet Anchor

The site where it all started for us with Parogon. Our work with them has always been to a simple but effective brief – turn tired, recently acquired community pubs into thriving, food-led premium pub experiences that will once again be loved by locals and attract visitors from miles around looking for great food & drink in an aspirational but accessible atmosphere. Blockhouse at The Sheet Anchor is exactly this, seamlessly blending brilliant ‘local pub’ at as you enter the building and opening up into an impressive smokehouse restaurant room in the dramatic dual-pitched former barn.

The Seven Stars

A total transformation of a 400-year-old pub which retained all its original features including high vaulted beamed ceilings and cosy alcoves but introduced sumptuously bold colours and textures to create a cool, contemporary environment that feels relaxed and inviting. You’ll find various dining areas, a stunning bar and a unique private dining room with clever rotating copper panels that can be revolved to open the room up or close them to create a more intimate dining experience for larger groups.

The Red House

Our third pub with Parogon, Red House was a million-pound refurb of a once-loved community pub in Shropshire, which you would barely recognise as the same building. The total transformation was achieved through a unique décor that gave every section of the restaurant its own style and design, with cosy booths, feature walls, luxury fabrics, contemporary art and industrial lighting – as well as a secret garden with fantastic views, fire pits and comfortable seating to take in those summer evenings.
