Our journey with Merry Hill began with tackling promotional communications, seasonal campaigns, and signage. A standout project was supporting Merry Hill during its transition away from the Intu branding, with guidelines set out while under the management of Intu Properties, and embarking on a fresh new identity as an independently run retail centre. Watching and contributing to this transformation was incredibly rewarding.
TURNING UP THE FUN
Student Night Campaign
In October 2021, Merry Hill aimed to engage the thousands of students across the West Midlands with a Student Shopping Night. The event featured exclusive deals, freebies, fun games, live music, and DJ sets. Students who registered had a chance to win a £300 Primark spree. Our task was to develop an engaging and vibrant concept for the night.
We crafted a visual style using urban photography, bold colours, and playful messaging that spoke directly to students about their world of tight budgets and deadlines. Campaign visuals were everywhere – from posters and window decals to social media and university websites. The result was a lively, buzzing campaign that made a real impact. We even created a striking booth design with branded modular cardboard cubes to promote the event at local student fairs.
BACK TO SCHOOL EXCITEMENT
Back To School
The "Get School Ready" campaign was all about celebrating the return to school after months of homeschooling. To make an impact, the copy had to be witty and engaging, reminding families of the joy of new school supplies.
We brought the campaign to life with fun activations like colourful tote bags, back-to-school checklists, and a uniform recycling bin. This playful yet practical approach hit the mark perfectly.

Spring Summer Campaign
Our latest project with Merry Hill was the Spring Summer 2022 campaign. The brief? Create a versatile platform for a variety of summer events and promotions. Merry Hill is the place to be for retail therapy, dining, and fun activities all in one day. We invited guests to squeeze more out of life and enjoy the long summer days.
We crafted a distinct visual identity using bold colours and seasonal gradients inspired by blooming flora and magical sunsets. Our diverse photography captured candid moments and vibrant atmospheres, bringing the campaign to life across digital and print media.
